Message: *** I should have posted this a year ago when i went to see Richelle*** Since the time that my cousin who was a licensed cosmetologist fried my hair while giving me a perm when I was 9 or so, (over 30 yrs ago)I have always taken care of my hair myself or my mom did before I knew how. With that said, I met Richelle while she was still in cosmetology school and somehow she convinced me to go see her to get highlights and a trim. She did such a fantastic job that now when I can afford it, (I'm also quite frugal), I go see Richelle. Last year I had trimmed my bangs and I cut them way too short and uneven because I rushed. I called Richelle to help me fix my mistake, which she did a wonderful job doing. As she was very newly licensed she did turn to Kristi for input which I didn't mind at all. Richelle managed to make my super short bangs look much better and gave me a much needed trim and did my undercut as well. An undercut that had been her idea in the first place in a prior appt. to help prevent my scalp psoriasis from flaring up. Richelle was extremely professional and it is obvious to me that she loves what she does and while relatively new to the trade is quite knowledgeable. I have and will continue to recommend Richelle to others.

Message: I truly enjoyed my recent hair appointment at Abracadabra. I had the young female hairdresser, and she was very careful and expert at her job. I had a wash, and a thinning and cut for a very small price.. This allowed me to give her a fairly good tip, which was well deserved. The shop itself was very clean and sanitary. There were so many small gadgets and doodads to look at in the shop! The only criticism I have is that the shop has no posted or regular hours! It doesn't seem to be open all that often. I would think that it should be open just a little more often.

Message: I was at Abracadabra Nail Salon when Kristi spoke with Lacie (see her post) concerning her nails. Although another tech had done Lacie’s nails, Kristi offered to fix the nails that night. The other tech, ( just getting started in the profession) also offered to fix the nails. Lacie was not satisfied with that solution, she used some choice language and hung up on Kristi. Kristi immediately called back and offered to both REFUND the money and FIX the nails. Ultimately Lacie came back, got her money, was again offered a new manicure, and was also given a file and instruction on how to care for her nails. At no time was she told to “deal with it. ”. I have been going to Kristi at Abracadabra for at least 12 years, she has a large, loyal clientele because of her professionalism and the outstanding quality of work she does. She is mentoring her new coworker to adopt those same qualities. I have no doubt the new tech will soon have her own loyal clientele as she is talented and vested in doing her best.
